My journey began in East Texas, a farm girl raising chickens, cows, and hay near Nacogdoches. While I initially pursued dietetics at SFASU, life had other plans. I found myself owning and operating a thriving flower shop and catering service across three different cities.
Family remains my top priority, leading me to sell the businesses and focus on a closer-to-home life. In my 30s, I discovered a passion for fitness and wellness, and I haven't looked back since! Helping others achieve their healthiest, happiest lives truly brings is truly rewarding.
As Pablo Picasso said, "The purpose of life is to find your gift. The meaning of life is to give it away." I'm fortunate to have a wonderful daughter, two fantastic sons, and a growing number of incredible grandchildren who inspire me every day.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I enjoy cooking (with a focus on healthy adaptations!), gardening, reading, and spending time with loved ones. My true travel passion lies in hiking, with conquests including Machu Picchu, Cinque Terre, and a rim-to-rim Grand Canyon trek.
I first joined DSC in 2001, after a hiatus spent enjoying ski trips with my family. I'm thrilled to be back, contributing my expertise and enthusiasm while building new friendships within the organization.
Here's to good times, good health, and making the most of every day! Let's work together to create a vibrant and successful future for the DSC!
